Chinese Language Center |
|
The Chinese Language Center at NCTU provides easy access for foreigners to experience the rich culture of Taiwan through Mandarin language immersion and active interaction with students and staff. Learning Chinese is a key to success for ambitious students who wish to work with local business partners at the Hsinchu Science Park, understand the financial dealings of Taipei’s stock exchange, or negotiate trade deals with world famous companies across the island. The Chinese Language program emphasizes oral communication and simulates real-life situations using audio and visual aids. Computer word processing tools are used to teach Chinese character input and editing and are also used to train students to write Chinese characters. The online forum and interactive learning website, which extends lessons beyond the classroom, prepares the students for the world of online bulletin boards and e-mail. The Center also provides an audio-visual self learning classroom, a library with an impressive collection of books, and simulation games to access language skills.
